🎶 Resonance: Portraits of Musical Icons 🎶
Join us for the opening reception of Resonance: Portraits of Musical Icons by Connecticut artist Marc Potocsky. Celebrated for his mastery of photorealism and portraiture, Marc has built a distinguished career with commissions that include the NFL’s Super Bowl 50th Anniversary painting, acclaimed works for “Victory Fine Art” in Los Angeles, and multiple paintings of New York City’s iconic One World Center – Freedom Tower.
In addition to his success as a visual artist, Marc is also a seasoned musician. He began playing drums at thirteen and went on to tour across the United States and abroad, fully immersed in the Rock and Roll scene for more than three decades. Performing professionally for most of his life, he has shared the stage with Michael Bolton, Johnny Winter, Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, Rod “Bottle Neck” Price of Foghat’s band Nightwatch, and Brooklyn’s The Laughing Dogs — a pioneering Rock/New Wave band. Those years as a touring musician continue to inform and inspire his artistry today.
This special exhibition presents Marc’s powerful portraits of legendary musicians — including icons such as John Lennon and Bob Dylan — capturing their presence and lasting influence with vivid, lifelike detail.
