About the Progeria Research Foundation The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF) is dedicated to discovering treatments and the cure for Progeria, a rare and fatal genetic condition that causes rapid aging in children. PRF was inspired by Sam Berns, a Massachusetts native who courageously lived with Progeria and became a global voice for hope and resilience. His story is beautifully captured in the 2013 HBO documentary Life According to Sam, which chronicles his life, advocacy, and the groundbreaking work of PRF. Sam’s legacy continues to inspire progress, awareness, and compassion through the foundation’s efforts. Celebrate Marathon Monday with purpose at Le Mari on April 21, 2025!
