The legendary South African musical theatre classic, #MARABI, is returning to The Market Theatre! ��Set in the vibrant 1920s of Doornfontein, Johannesburg, this production is a compelling journey into the heart of our history. It explores the clash between ancestral duty and the emerging Marabi jazz rhythm. We follow Mabongo and his daughter Martha as her love for a Marabi piano player ignites family turmoil, asking the timeless question: “When the ancestors call, who dares to sing a different song?”
