About this Event
Founded in 2006, Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS)-Redmond brings Muslim values to life in the Pacific Northwest by serving as Washington’s largest Islamic center—providing a center for faith, community, and service for 5,000+ families from over 50 countries.
MAPS Seattle is the 2nd of our 3 locations, and is conveniently located in downtown Seattle to provide easy access for workers and residents in the area.
The month of Ramadan is the most sacred and spiritually significant time of the year for Muslims. We celebrate it by fasting every day of the month, from before sunrise till sunset.
It is our honor to invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 3rd at 5pm for iftar (breaking of the fast) followed by dinner. Mayor Katie Wilson is confirmed to join us, and we would love to have your company as well.
Through this first gathering—one of many we hope to host—we welcome community, civic, and faith leaders to join us for an evening of reflection and relationship-building. At a time of heightened uncertainty for many communities, this interfaith iftar represents a shared commitment to the wellbeing of all who call Seattle home.
