About this Event
Join us at the Rotunda at San Jose City Hall for on May 29th for the public launch of the Mosaic Atlas - a suite of tools that captures the cultural richness and diversity of our communities through data, insights and narratives. If you work in policy and/or program development and have been searching for ways to better understand, engage with and serve an increasingly diverse and culturally complex community, this session is for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The event will feature
- A brief overview of Mosaic Atlas and the underlying approach to identifying and mapping culturally rooted resources
- A demonstration of the interactive GIS-based Mosaic Atlas Explorer and digital narratives called Story Maps; and
- Small group breakout sessions to explore the Atlas and brainstorm potential use cases.
Snacks and refreshments will be served.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
- County, City, nonprofit staff tasked with creating, implementing and measuring impact of programs and services
- College faculty and students interested in community-engaged research and internship opportunities
- Funders and grantors seeking to make equitable and effective investments
