Join us for a tour of Maplewood Cemetery, Charlottesville’s oldest public burial ground. ACHS Programs Manager, Sterling Howell, will lead a "spirited" tour exploring the final resting places of some of Charlottesville’s most interesting deceased personalities. As the season changes and we approach All Hallow's Eve, take part in a conversation about what cemeteries, burial practices, and mortuary imagery reveal about society and culture and how they have changed over time.
Tour will begin at the Maple Street entrance to Maplewood Cemetery.
