👥The Maple Blues Band is a world class group that includes some of Canada’s most respected blues musicians, who have accumlated twenty-three Maple Blues Awards, five Juno Awards, as well as three Jazz Report Awards. “Let’s Go” their debut release on Cordova Bay Records will open the next chapter of the band’s story presenting their music at concerts in Canada and around the world.
👤Jay Douglas is a three-time Juno Award nominee, music producer, and bandleader of the Jay Douglas All-Star Band. He has performed internationally at festivals like Rastafest in Toronto and the 4 Seasons Reggae Cruise in Atlanta, and has collaborated with reggae legends such as Beres Hammond, Freddie McGregor, and Ziggy Marley. A key figure in Toronto’s reggae community, he helped establish Reggae Lane with Councillor Josh Colle. Jay’s career began as the frontman of The Cougars, a popular Caribbean nightclub band in the 60s and 70s, blending Ska, Rock Steady, and Reggae.
👤Quisha Wint is a powerhouse vocalist from Ontario, known for her soulful, Aretha-inspired sound. A former Canadian Idol finalist, she’s performed globally and collaborated with top Canadian artists, including Jacksoul. Her track “Black Shoes” hit #1 on the Indie charts, and her voice appears in the film Pay It Forward. Quisha is also co-founder of QW Productions and Chair of the Toronto Blues Society.
