Do you and your neighbors know the 9 steps to take after a disaster when first responders are overwhelmed?
About this Event

MAP YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) is a program to organize neighbors so they can help one another and their neighborhood in the event of an emergency. Disasters can be caused by not only by earthquakes but also by common occurrences such as major power outages, fire, and water main breaks. When neighbors know each other, and the equipment and skills each can provide, together the can be more self-sufficient when the Fire Department and other First Responders are overwhelmed.

Let preparedness begin with you!

The Map Your Neighborhood program is a 90-minute class you will learn the 9 steps that will enable you and your neighbors to help one another in the crucial 60 minutes following a disaster. This class is an interactive session that takes just about 90 minutes. You will receive the MYN booklet, and more importantly a desire to connect with those around you to get organized.

If you’re interested, but unable to attend this session, please contact Sue Brown, [email protected], for information on other sessions.

We look forward to seeing you
