MACKWELL FACTORY TOUR

Join us at Mackwell factory in Harewood, Christchurch, for an exclusive Business Canterbury Factory Tour.

Hear from founder Sam Mackwell and Learn about his incredible innovation journey from developing a concept in his family’s garage in West Melton, testing and refining his concept, through to forming a business, building and a team around and the commercialisation of his world leading technology.

Mackwell creates an opportunity for energy sovereignty in a world of energy dependence, empowering individuals, industries, and communities to take control over their own energy generation, distribution and consumption.

Mackwell Generators directly convert biomass into on-demand power and heat, enabling off-grid households, communities and industries to become energy sovereign. It is essentially a replacement for the Massey 35 Horsepower tractor but this one is powered by wood with up to 55% moisture content.

Agile, compact and mobile, Mackwell Generators can use a wide range of biomass fuels (including abundant and forest-available residues) to generate clean energy. Able to operate off-grid, our Generators can provide energy certainty whilst reducing costs by at least 50% compared to diesel generators, and CO2-e emissions by over 96%. Mackwell is currently working with various industries to develop in-field shaft power and generator units.

Projects under development include:

• 96% reduction in CO2-e emissions compared to an equivalent Diesel engine.

• G26 Generator (directly convertible with the A35 Engine)

• Off-grid electricity production from 5 to >1000 kW.

• Shaft-power from 300 to >1000 kW.

• The processing of low grade, high moisture content forestry residues.
