About this Event
Mantra means "mind protection". It is a powerful spiritual method to increase your peace of mind, and enhance the spiritual qualities of your body, speech and mind. Reciting mantras helps calm your mind, let go of negative thoughts, and connect with enlightened inspiration and power. Ultimately mantra recitation awakens the supreme awakening of Enlightenment.
At 2pm, learn what mantras are and how to use them in meditation and daily life. We will also introduce and practice a guided mantra meditation you can later use at any time on your own.
At 3pm, learn how to make and use your own mala, or Buddhist prayer beads, for meditation and spiritual practice. Workshop cost includes materials to make one traditional 108-bead mala. After making your own mala, we'll show you how to use it for spiritual practice.
No previous experience is necessary, and absolutely everyone is welcome!
