About this Event
The Belong Club invites anyone to come and participate in this Belong Club Walking Group that runs every Friday!
The route we will be walking is from Queenscliff Surf Club to Shelly Beach where we stop for a coffee at the Boat House. There is no pressure to purchase anything if you would just like to continue enjoying the good company. After our caffeine hit we head back to The Corso or all the way back to Queenscliff.
The planned route is a 2.4km paved path and Google maps suggest it will take about 30 minutes. On the way back it is 1.3km back to The Corso or 2.4km back to the start point at Queenscliff Surf Club.
Group members are welcome to split off into smaller groups or even pairs to allow everyone to go at their preferred pace.
The aim here is for everyone to be included and to have an enjoyable walk.
When: 9.00am - 10.30am on Fridays
Meeting point details: Meet outside, undercover at the Queenscliff Surf Club, N Steyne & Collingwood St, Manly NSW 2095. Please note: when looking up Queenscliff Surf Club on Apple Maps, it pins the surf club on Manly Beach. This is incorrect, please refer to google maps for correct location.

Important information
Weather, safety and responsibility
It is important that you make your own decisions regarding your comfort and safety. This is particularly relevant to weather and walk suitability. The decision to undertake the event is at your discretion and by registering for the event you deem yourself fit and capable of safely participating in the event.
For example, some might be comfortable walking in light rain with a rain jacket, others may be less comfortable due to the lower visibility or increased slipping hazard. In poor weather days there may only be one or two people who show up to complete that week’s walk. The decision to do the walk is left to personal choice.
However, if we meet up and decide that the walk will be no fun, the we just go straight for a coffee at a local cafe.
Covid
We seek to minimise possible transmission, whilst still facilitating an important, healthy outlet for connection. Please look after each other and do not attend if you are experiencing any covid symptoms or are considered a close contact to a covid case.
If you are uncomfortable meeting with others face to face, we encourage you to try some of the Belong Club's online events, such as Monday's Mindful Movement session or Thursday's Gentle Exercise Class.
About the Hosts
Our Manly Walk is co-hosted by Community Champions Penny , Jo, Wendy, and Belinda
- Penny is a local Manly Vale resident who loves her beaches and getting out in the fresh air. With Friday's off work and the kids dropped off at school, Penny offered to run a new event in her area for the Belong Club.
- Jo loved the idea of Belong Club's Community events and started her involvement in Narrabeen at the Tea and Table Games. She has since started working in Manly, but still wanted to stay connected to the Belong Club and offered to run an additional Manly Walk each month.
- Wendy is a Northern Beaches local with lots of energy and a very happy go lucky disposition. Wendy Loves anything outdoors and spending time with her gorgeous 4 legged friend 'Chance' who may become the Manly Walk mascot!
