We at Stark Yoga are honored and happy to welcome Manju to Stockholm, Sweden once again in 2024 to learn from his deep knowledge in an intensive, inspiring and humorous way.
Manju Jois is dedicated to his mission of training people in the ancient style of yoga, which combine the asanas, pranayamas, and peace chants for a mind - body - spirit unification.
For this workshop he will bring his amazing daughter Sathu Jois to assist, the next generation in the Jois family.
These trainings will present the Ashtanga Yoga series and traditions in their purest form, providing a rare and privileged opportunity for beginners and experienced practitioners alike to learn from the eldest son of Sri K. Patthabi Jois.
This 5 day intensive will be a teacher training on the Intermediate series, Nadi Shodana. We will learn and practice adjustment techniques, benefits of different asana and how to adapt the practice through life.
Even if it is called a teacher training it is open for anyone regardless of level with a fully established Ashtanga Yoga practice, that wish to deepen the knowledge for either teaching or for personal growth. We will explore the series in an accessible and playful way.

Daily schedule 8.30-13:00 Mysore style class. Followed by Intermediate Series adjustment techniques, pranayama, chanting, discussion.

Cancellation policy:Up until 8 Week before start of workshop you will be refunded 80% of the payment, after that only with a notice from a doctor.

About Manju Jois: Manju Jois, Ashtanga Yoga teacher of Mysore, South India, is the oldest son of Sri K Pattabhi Jois, recognized worldwide as the foremost authority on Ashtanga Yoga. Manju was born in November, 1944. At the young age of 7, Manju was awakened early each day by his father to begin lessons that would forever change the course of his life and the lives of those who would study with him in the years to come. He began his teaching career at the age of 15 with his father and has taught ever since. Since the passing of his father in 2009, Manju´s role in the Ashtanga Yoga world has been more and more important to keep the practice inclusive and to keep the more subtle aspects of the tradition alive.
He has taught continuously throughout the world for the last 50 years in a deep and compassionate way and with a sense of humor.
Assisting teachers: Sathu Jois, Camilla Silver & Johan Silver
Sathu Jois had a curiosity for yoga since she was an infant. Her father being Manju Jois, she has always been exposed to yoga and would travel with him to various workshops around the world for as long as she can remember. She feels honored to be born into a yoga family and she is studying to uphold her family's legacy.
Yoga helped her stay calm and healthy during the pandemic and fueled a love for working with her father. Sathu continues to train with her father and learns more and more every day.‍
Camilla has been teaching Ashtanga Yoga for the last 22 years and guides her students with warmth and focus, with an intention to highlight the strength you already possess. Camilla is Authorized by Manju Jois. She owns two Yoga Studios in Sweden and deeply rooted in the Vedic traditions she is also a Vedic Counselor, specialized in mantra and meditation.
Johan has been teaching Ashtanga Yoga for over 12 years and is Authorized by Manju Jois. With his background as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, he has a deep understanding of our various constitutions of Vata, Pitta and Kapha and how to deal with them differently on the yoga mat to find their balance and get closer to their inner true nature. ‍
