Manischewitz presents SOUP, a new art and photography exhibition exploring Jewish cuisine, memory, and identity as a living, evolving culture. For over 130 years, Manischewitz has been a part of American Jewish life, not just as a food brand, but as a presence at the table — from immigrant kitchens to modern homes, Shabbat dinners to Passover seders. Now, in celebration of its new Homemade Jarred Soup line, the iconic brand steps into the cultural spotlight with SOUP, a thoughtfully curated exhibition connecting food, art, and storytelling.
The exhibition will be open to the public February 6–10, 2026, at 155 Suffolk St., New York, NY, and is free to attend. Hours are:
- Friday, February 6: 10 AM – 2 PM
- Saturday, February 7: 7 – 10 PM
- Sunday, February 8: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Monday, February 9: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Tuesday, February 10: 10 AM – 6 PM
SOUP features contemporary visual art, photography, and storytelling that examine how food — particularly soup — functions as a cultural connector: a source of comfort, care, ritual, humor, and shared memory. Rather than leaning into nostalgia, the featured artists explore how Jewish identity continues to evolve across generations and geographies, preserving, translating, and reimagining meaning much like cherished family recipes.
Participating artists include:
- Dan Weinstein – Multidisciplinary artist exploring identity, power, and modern allegory through visual art, animation, and narrative storytelling
- Rosemarie Gleiser – Peruvian-Jewish interdisciplinary artist whose work examines diaspora, memory, and food culture through language, recipes, and imagery
- Ohad Romano – Israeli photographer known for cinematic imagery capturing intimate, human moments
Art will be available for purchase onsite, and a traveling deli will be parked outside the exhibition serving soup, knishes, hot dogs, and other traditional Jewish foods.
Through this exhibition, Manischewitz affirms its role not only as a trusted food brand but as a steward of Jewish cultural memory. By presenting SOUP, the brand honors its heritage while supporting artists and stories that continue to shape Jewish life in America, demonstrating that food and art together sustain culture, community, and connection.
