You're invited to our Manhattan EOC HSE Connect One-Stop!About this Event
We invite you to our High School Equivalency (HSE) Connect One-Stop Information Session on Thursday, August 17 at 9:30am!
This event is for adults who are 25 or older and have had contact with the criminal legal system who want to earn their High School Equivalency Diploma by taking the GED® test.
Attendees can earn up to $300 for attending this event and completing the Admissions process. Light refreshments will be served.
At this session, you will:
1) Learn more about how the HSE Connect program can help you earn your High School Equivalency Diploma
2) Complete the online application with assistance
3) Provide a Photo ID. One is required to attend the event.
Photo IDs accepted are the NYS Corrections & Community Supervision Released ID, IDNYC, Benefit Card, Drivers license, and other government issued IDs.
4) Take the placement test
For those attending the session, please plan to attend for approximately 4 hours to allow for the info session and the placement exam. This will allow you to complete the Admissions process in one day.
Enrolled HSE Connect Students will:
1) Earn up to a $1,300 stipend for the academic year
2) Receive 30-day unlimited MetroCards
3) Receive a Chromebook
4) Receive support from dedicated staff and supportive environment
Please arrive on time as late arrivals are not admitted and space is limited. Late arrivals and non-registered guests are not allowed.
