Robbie Mangiardi: is a singer songwriter currently based in Los Angeles who has been writing his own material for well over 50 years but only now has he found a desire to get his songs out to the real world. Singer-songwriter is a term that now is a big umbrella. Artists like Mississippi John Hurt, Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams and later Dylan, Nina Simone James Taylor, Randy Newman, Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell mastered their instruments, their singing, their lyricism and storytelling to a high art that drew Robbie to a place where he found himself inspired to do the same. A lead singer in a band at 15, Robbie later started writing and playing in a few high school bands and later the folk circuit in NYC and New England but after that just wrote music for years but rarely played out. Had his share of troubles with drugs and the law that did not help. He called himself, "a closet songwriter who wrote songs for an audience of one. I wrote songs to soothe myself, I guess. It still is a form of escapism to me." Robbie has been featured in American Songwriter magazine and Elmore Magazine, among others. He has also been a guest on the iconic WPFK’s radio show Folk Scene with Allen Larman. This will mark his sixth appearance at The Yard Theatre.

The world is literally her stage: having spent her life living in the US, Europe, the UK and beyond, Anna La Mare showcases the versatility of Americana music by blending roots and Celtic storytelling with a moody southern gothic palate. Anna has played in residencies, solo sets, songwriter showcases and festivals in New Orleans, North Carolina, New York and British Columbia, and will be performing on stages in more of the world soon. Anna La Mare has just made the switch from the nom de plume Anna Alessandra. A current resident of Texas, Anna has spent time living in New Orleans, Australia and Houston, and recently began her full-time music career touring the interior and islands of British Columbia, following performances in New Orleans during Jazz Fest, as well as Houston and North Carolina showcases. She will be performing original music - much of which was recently completed while spending two weeks of solitary time (with her dog) on a 5 mile long island off the BC coast. She will be touring down the West Coast this summer as she makes her return to Texas.
