NOTE: NEW MEETING POINT AND MODIFIED COURSE.We'll meet at the corner of Coronation Rd and Waterfront Rd near the southern end of the Ngā Hau Māngere footbridge.
Then running same way as before along Kiwi Esplanade to Ambury Park and Watercare Walkway.
Option to either run it as an out and back or return over Mangere Mountain and inner harbour coastal path 😄

Coffee after at Ruby Red café a couple of blocks away. Option to grab some Fush & Chups at Best Baits beside the finish point if you're in need of a mean feed.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Mostly flat and mostly off road—this is the place to get in LOTS of miles to get you ready for that upcoming half or full marathon!
We'll head all the way along Kiwi Esplanade, through Ambury Regional Park and then head south onto the Watercare Coastal Walkway and around the lagoon (turn back here for 15km, or over the mountain for 12km). Continuing south, turn around at the toilet block and stay left for a sidetrip to Puketutu Island.
On the way back, return the same way you came for a total distance of 23.5km. Or, run along the lagoon again and take the track up and cross into Pikitea Rd to enter the reserve. Take the track up Mangere Mountain to take in some spectacular views. After descending, go past the school and then straight ahead over the zebra crossing into Hastie Ave - following it all the way along, crossing the motorway footbridge to the coast.
Then it's one last blitz along the coastal pathway to the end. If you've still got energy to burn, you can dash over the bridge to Onehunga and back.
