From the depths of a landfill, one woman claws her way toward freedom in this absurd, messy, and strangely heartfelt solo show. Packed with physical comedy and audience interaction, Maggie is a love letter to anyone who’s ever been underestimated or thrown away.
A coming-of-bug tale about a fly in a landfill trying to molt into something human. It’s weird. It’s raw. It’s unexpectedly emotional. There’s no fourth wall.
Written, directed, and performed by Mandy Keen, Maggie premiered to standing ovations at The Commodore in Ybor City, with audiences calling it “inventive, funny, and poignant” and “hilarious, weird, touching, and really, really fun.”

Mandy Keen is a multidisciplinary performer and writer known for creating bold, visceral, emotionally charged comedy that embraces vulnerability and explores the beauty and strangeness of being human.
Her work blends physical comedy, devised theatre, and improvisation to examine themes of transformation, identity, and resilience.
Her breakout solo show Maggie premiered to standing ovations and glowing audience reviews, establishing her as a distinctive voice in contemporary experimental theatre and physical comedy.
