Rebecca Carr, Marketing Director (EMEA) - Safety Culture
Becki is the Marketing Director, EMEA at SafetyCulture a workplace operations platform. SafetyCulture counts global organisations such as Toyota, EDF, and Marriott amongst it’s customers, as well as local businesses such as Transport for Greater Manchester. Becki is passionate about working closely across all go-to-market teams to deliver excellent customer experiences.
With over 8 years working in Manchester’s tech scene, Becki has seen nearly a decade of change in the city. A vocal advocate for women in tech at every stage of their career, Becki is particularly passionate about making sure that women benefit equally from Manchester’s burgeoning tech ecosystem.
Dave Mason, Director of Engineering at XDesign
Dave is currently the Director of Engineering at XDesign, a leading digital consultancy that partners with start-ups, scale-ups and established organisations across the UK to deliver industry-leading digital products. Dave has been working in the Manchester tech industry for 20 years, initially as a Windows software engineer, before branching out into web development, cloud architecture and technical leadership.
Having been in leadership positions for the past 10 years, Dave now focuses more on developing people and processes than developing software, and is passionate about enabling everyone he's responsible for to become the best version of themselves. As a proud Mancunian, he is a strong advocate of the city of Manchester and has relished watching it go from strength to strength since the turn of the new millennium. He regularly speaks at events around the UK and contributes to podcasts, mostly around the topic of technical leadership.
