About this Event
Specifically, the address for this meeting will be given by David Machin, Head of Business and Public Engagement for the Sanctions Directorate of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The address will focus on the latest developments in the world of UK sanctions and give an update on the direction of travel following the UK’s General Election in July and the new Government taking over. In addition, there will be members of other key UK Government departments with sanctions remits. Following the opening address there will be an opportunity to have an informal discussion.
The MSS was created with the hope of bringing together Manchester and the North West's sanctions community. Our meeting on the 19th of November hopes to give sanctions practitioners in the North a platform and space to speak to the UK Government outside of London.
Refreshments: As usual, there will be coffee, tea and biscuits available.
