Join Team JDRF to run the flattest, friendliest and fastest marathon in England and help fund research to treat, prevent and cure type 1 diabetes.
The marathon is the UK’s second largest attracting 25,000 runners every year and generates huge support en route. For the first time, in 2020 the route will include a three-mile loop into the city centre, taking in some of Manchester’s most iconic landmarks.
The cost
Registration: £45 – this is a saving of £10 if you were to book online.
We can also offer relay teams of 2 or 4 people, if interested, taking the burden of a full 26.2 miles away, but still enjoying the atmosphere of the day – email [email protected]
Sponsorship target
We’d love you to raise as much sponsorship as possible to fund our world-class research to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes, so we have set a sponsorship target of £250 per person.
Type 1 diabetes is an auto-immune condition, affecting 400,000 people in the UK, and 29,000 of them are children. Insulin injections are needed multiple times a day along with regular blood tests, just to keep a person’s blood glucose levels within a safe range. All money raised is so gratefully appreciated.
Please note that as this is a charity place, from January 2020 we cannot offer refunds if you book a place by mistake.
