About this Event

To help set the party mood there will also be amazing live music, fabulous food and of course loads of fun. Dance the gin’ight away,make new friends playing giant Jenga or bag that perfect Instagrammable pic. 

Proud to be a festival for everyone, we also stock a range of more than 15 premium Rums, from the delectable dark to the specially spiced and the fantastically flavoured. Or you can add some sparkle to the experience with one of our delicious Prosecco Royales!

The Gin Society Festival will take place within the gorgeous setting of Manchester Cathedral - the perfect venue to spend four gin-fuelled hours.

We operate a voucher system for the purchase of all drinks – vouchers are available in multiples of £5 from our voucher station. All gins or rums cost £5 including appropriate mixer and garnish. Prosecco Royales are £10. Cash and card payments are accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What’s included in the ticket fee? Your ticket provides not only entrance to the festival, but your own gin glass and metal straw to take home; a free festival G&T, plus a booklet of notes to guide you and access to talks about the history of gin.

Cost of the gins and payment: We operate a voucher system. Vouchers are available in multiples of £5 and £20. A standard gin or rum (25 ml) with complimentary mixer and garnish is £5. Prosecco Royales are £10 (200 ml). We are happy to refund any unused vouchers, but vouchers must be redeemed on the day of purchase before the end of the session.

How can I pay for drinks? We accept cash and card, although card machines can be a bit slow and temperamental depending on the venue.

Is there an age limit for this event? Yes, the Festival is for people aged 18 and over only. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed entry even if they are in possession of a valid ticket. We operate the Challenge 25 scheme, meaning if you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked for ID, so please bring suitable documentation, as you may be refused entry without it and we won’t be able to offer you a refund. Sorry, but these events are not suitable for babies or anyone under 18 years old and their entry will be refused.

Am I allowed to go out and come back into the festival? Yes, of course, but to ensure re-admittance, our door staff will need to give you a small stamp on your hand.

Will there be other drinks at the festival? Yes, at the Rum Bar you can find a selection of Premium Rums, plus Prosecco and Prosecco Royales. We also have a small supply of beers and soft drinks.

Will there be entertainment at the festival? Yes, it is a gin party after all. To ensure the fun and good vibes there is live music – show us your dance moves and best sing-along performance. Plus, we also have a Giant Jenga and props for that perfect instagramable selfie!

Will there be food at the festival? Yes, food is available at our festivals. The offer changes from venue to venue - if possible, we will email you in advance with more details/ menu.

The venues we operate in do not allow for own food to be eaten on the premises.

Will there be seating available? Yes, we have a number of seats available on a first-come-first-served basis. Primarily, this is a standing event, so seating is not guaranteed for everyone and cannot be reserved in advance.

Does the ticket have to be used by the person named on it? No, anyone 18 and over (with proof of ID if required) may use the ticket, so feel free to buy them as gifts.

I can no longer make it to the festival, can I get a refund? Yes, we realise plans sometimes change, so we are happy to arrange a refund up to seven days before the festival. It is fine to pass your ticket on to a friend, as long as they are aged 18 or over. To arrange a full refund please email us at [email protected] 

Do I get sent paper tickets for the festival? No, your tickets are included in your purchase confirmation email sent to you by the ticket supplier. Either download and print it, or use the e-ticket via the App. If you do not receive your confirmation email, please email us on [email protected]
