About this Event
Fascist Tommy Robinson has announced he is coming back to London on 26 October and has called a major mobilisation that day ahead of his court date (28 October).
He is mobilising his racist, fascist and far right supporters to take to the streets again in even bigger numbers.
Stand Up to Racism has called a counter demonstration to stop fascist Tommy Robinson on Saturday 26 October - this is a big one: we need to mobilise huge numbers for this one to outnumber the fascists and kick a decisive dent in the confidence of the growing far right movement.
That means coaches coming from all across Britain, big numbers mobilising in every area.
It means building the support of the wider trade union, student and anti racist movement, to fill the coaches, to turn out and build the mass demonstration we need on the day.
It is down to all of us to fight for the scale of demonstration that can express the reality of the anti racist majority across Britain, drown out the dangerous voice of racist division, and expose and oppose the fascists seeking to grow.
We are building on the back of a mass campaign that beat back the far right on the streets throughout August, and our success in taking on the racist riots and outnumbering the far right shows we can do so effectively.
But we cannot be complacent - and we need to come together to make the difference in building the broadest and biggest anti racist and anti fascist movement now. What we do matters.
Internationally the far right and fascism is on the rise, making terrifying gains across Europe. The recent results in East Germany where the far right party the Afd, with a fascist wing, won 33 percent in Thuringia and 31 percent in Saxony.
In France, Italy, Austria fascist parties have gained 30 percent of the vote in recent months.
The danger in Britain is the advance of Reform UK electorally combined with the growth of a far right street movement led by fascists such as Tommy Robinson. We must expose, oppose and defeat them.
We must continue to mobilise to stop the far right, oppose Nazi Tommy Robinson, fight the threat of racist Reform UK in parliament, and campaign against institutional racism and for safe routes now for refugees.
We have local groups around Britain fighting for this cause.
