About this Event
This in-person support session is for you if you are involved in running a small voluntary group in Birmingham and would like some help in how you record and manage the money coming in and out of your group bank account.
It’s being run by Birmingham Community Matters and Perry Barr Neighbourhood Network Scheme.
At the event, you will be matched with a helper who will confidentially help you with the record keeping for your group and any questions you have about how best to record and manage money for your group.
During the session we will help you to:
- Decide the best method to record money in and out - on computer or paper and pen.
- Learn how to use them to record and manage your group’s money.
- Understand how to prepare reports to your management committee and funders if you have them
- Understand to allocate money out towards grants
You will find the event useful if:
- You are responsible for the money within your group
- You are looking to apply for funding or have a grant and need to prepare a report for your funder.
- You have any queries about recording or reporting money coming in and going out for your group.
