Managing Huntington's disease in nursing and care homes

Please note this event is limited to 5 attendees per care facility across the two sessions due to the training being funded.

There is an option of a morning or afternoon session.

Morning session 08.30 till 12.30

Afternoon Session 13.00 till 17.00

Refreshments are included.

For maximum benefit we encourage various roles from the service to participate in this event including care staff management roles, activity, catering etc. However we request that at least one member of management team is included in the group

During the session we will be joined by Huntington’s disease professionals who will present on topics such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics.

We will help you develop a greater understanding of the disease and give you the opportunity to share your experiences and ideas and discuss the management of complex situations with others in similar situations.

This event has been made possible due to fundraising and a donation from a family member, to provide education in Huntington’s disease. Places are limited and none attendance will result in a cancellation charge of £10 per attendee.
