Join us for an engaging and interactive community-based professional development session! This session is tailored to individuals working in the children and families sector. It will provide practical tools and strategies for handling difficult conversations and turning conflict into collaborative solutions.


Session Objectives:

  1. Participants will learn to identify and analyze the causes of interpersonal conflict.
  2. Participants will learn to develop and implement effective communication and conflict-resolution strategies.
  3. Participants will learn to foster ethical and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Whether you manage teams, work with families, or collaborate with community partners, this session will equip you with the skills needed to handle difficult conversations and foster stronger relationships.

About our facilitator:

LaShaunda Lark-Darien, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor, with a Private Independent Practice Specialization in Case Management. She is a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist with over 17 years of combined experience in higher education, mental health, substance abuse, grief counseling, child welfare, case management, gerontology, administration, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, sports performance therapy, and clinical supervision. In her spear time, LaShaunda enjoys cruising with her husband of 25 years, spending time with their four children and watching sports.LaShaunda's Motto is: "When Life Hands you Lemons, Make Orange Juice and Let People Wonder How You Did It!"
