The volunteers Task programme is undertaken on a one session a week basis on the first Tuesday, second Sunday, third Thursday and fourth Sunday of each calendar month.

Therefore the dates available are : Tuesday 6th, Sunday 11th,Thursday 15th and Sunday 25th of January and Tuesday 3rd, Sunday 8th, Thursday 19th and Sunday 22nd February.

We meet at the main car park of Cotgrave Country Park on Hollygate Lane at 10am and work until around 3pm with a break for refreshments ( Tea, Coffee, Biscuits provided) mid -morning and lunch time.

Volunteers should bring their own lunch if required.

Volunteers should be over 16yrs or be supervised by an adult if they are a minor. No pets please.

Suitable, hard wearing clothing, including waterproofs if it looks likely to be wet, should be worn, along with boots or similar.

We provide gloves and eye-protection

Generally the working will involve scrub and tree clearance/pruning using shears ,loppers, bowsaws and other hand tools. We will also be using forks/spades and mattocks/picks and wheel barrows to dig out and collect rubble to construct stone basking piles and hibernacula.

CCP generally provide all tools and equipment but it would be good to know how many of your members are coming along in advance, if possible, in order to provide enough. If numbers are high it might be helpful to bring some tools etc.
