Obsessed with the chivalrous ideals touted in books, Don Quixote uses his lance and sword to defend the helpless and destroy the wicked. One of the world's most popular musicals and inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' seventeenth-century masterwork Don Quixote, the original 1965 production won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
