Guided winter walk up Cat Bells

Join our expert instructors for a moderately challenging walk up one of the finest summits in the Borrowdale Valley. Starting from the Ellis Brigham shop in Keswick, your instructor will meet you for a quick kit check and then transport will be available to take you to the car park at the base of Cat Bells about 20 minutes away. The views (weather dependent) are unmatched, and the whole walk will take a few hours before we head back to the Ellis Brigham store in Keswick. You will have the opportunity to ask the instructor any questions you may have during this exciting walk & they will happily provide guidance on winter walking and any further knowledge you desire.

Please come prepared for a day out in winter conditions, with good boots, outdoor clothing including warm layers, waterproofs, hat, gloves and a packed lunch with a warm drink in a Thermos flask. Advanced Winter Skills Session

Join our expert instructors for an engaging session covering core skills for enjoying the mountains in winter. Starting from the Ellis Brigham shop in Keswick, your instructor will meet you for a quick kit check and then transport will be available to take you to the best venue in the Borrowdale valley given the conditions on the day. We aim to cover winter mountain day preparation, navigation, weather, ice axe & crampon usage, basic avalanche awareness & snow safety too. You will have the opportunity to ask the instructor any questions you may have & they will happily provide guidance on winter skills and any further knowledge you desire.

Please come prepared for a day out in winter conditions, with good boots, outdoor clothing including warm layers, waterproofs, hat, gloves and a packed lunch with a warm drink in a Thermos flask.
