We are organizing a fundraiser to support Rick and Kelly Bleier—known to many in the Tulsa music community as Mama K and Papa—due to their ongoing health and financial challenges.Kelly is no longer able to walk or stand without the use of a walker or scooter. Daily activities such as cooking and cleaning are no longer manageable for her. Rick is also experiencing serious health issues, including a hernia and heart complications, which limit his mobility. The cost of their necessary prescriptions continues to grow and is becoming increasingly difficult to manage.
In addition to medical challenges, their home is in urgent need of repairs. The ceiling in the laundry room has collapsed, their fence is barely standing and being propped up by temporary supports, and the showers in their bathrooms are in disrepair. Also needing a walk in shower making it easier to get in and out of. These are essential repairs that they cannot afford or physically manage on their own.
For decades, Rick and Kelly have supported countless individuals in the Tulsa music scene and beyond—providing meals, transportation, shelter, and a welcoming environment to those in need. This fundraiser is an opportunity for the community to give back and support them in return.
