About this Event
The Mama Bird 40-Hour Full-Spectrum Doula Training is a comprehensive, in-person program designed to prepare doulas and birthworkers to support families across the full reproductive and postpartum spectrum.
This training is grounded in cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and reproductive justice, with a strong emphasis on real-world application, advocacy, and sustainable community-based work. Participants will gain both the practical skills and the deeper understanding needed to show up confidently and compassionately for families.
This is not a lecture-only training. Expect hands-on learning, discussion, role-play, reflection, and community connection throughout the 40 hours.
What You’ll Learn
- Full-spectrum doula care: birth, postpartum, abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, and loss
- Physiology of pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period
- Emotional support, mental health awareness, and trauma-informed practices
- Lactation and infant feeding basics
- Advocacy, systems navigation, and community-based care
- Professional boundaries, ethics, and sustainability in doula work
- Real-life scenarios, practice skills, and group reflection

No prior doula experience is required.
Tuition
🎟 General Admission: $2,400 🎟 Early Bird Rate: $2,100 - available now, up to 30 days prior to training (limited time / limited availability). If tuition is paid within 30 days of the training, the full General Admission amount.
Training shows as "FREE" on Eventbrite so that we may use our own payment processing system. Once you register on Eventbrite, we will reach out via email to initiate the payment process.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Please review our refund policy carefully before registering.
- Cancellations made 30 days or more before the training start date are eligible for a full refund, minus a non-refundable $250 administrative fee.
- Cancellations made 14–29 days before the training start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before the training start date are non-refundable.
- No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If Mama Bird must cancel or reschedule the training due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to a future training.
