Mallory Chipman is an award-winning singer-songwriter-producer, celebrated for her acrobatic vocals and the tender yet powerful way she weaves story into song. Her latest album, Songs to a Wild God, hit #1 on CKUA, #5 on the Folk Alliance International Charts, and has been featured on NPR and SiriusXM Radio. While reflecting contemporary themes, the quality of Chipman’s craft “places her amidst the longer tradition of the great singer-songwriters” (Americana UK), establishing her as an instant classic in the Canadian folk music scene.
Walking the line between warm folk storytelling and an upbeat mystical country twang are Vancouver-based duo Duke & Goldie. The musical partnership of Jena Gogo and Eric Duquette has produced an exciting new sound said to “revive the charm of the 60’s and 70’s Laurel Canyon music scene”. Now, their 2023 debut self-titled EP will be followed up with a brand new album, which has been led by the release of their new single “West End Queen (Abbatoir)”. On stage, the pair weave their cascading vocal harmonies over acoustic guitar-laden arrangements to tell stories that roam from rocky mountain highs to mysterious remote deserts, captivating audiences wherever they go.
