Join us on this iconic circular trail from Malham, in the Yorkshire Dales, taking in all the natural spectacles the area has to offer. After a gentle walk from the village, we have a short steep climb up some steps to reach the infamous limestone pavement above Malham Cove. From here we will continue to walk across this unique landscape to Gordale Beck and follow the stream upstream into Gordale Scar, a stunning limestone gorge. On returning along the beck we will head into a woodland to find Janet's Foss, a waterfall with fantastic plunge pool.
From here it is a short journey through the woodland and along a well worn path back to the beautiful village of Malham for a well-earned pint!
A brilliant 5-mile / 8km walk of moderate (due to steps) difficulty. An incredible place for geology and ornithology combined.
Well behaved, friendly (with people and other dogs) dogs are welcome, but must be agile enough to climb stiles or small enough to be lifted. Please also note that we will be passing through many fields of sheep, so be prepared to have your dog on a lead for some of this route.
Children aged approx. 7+ are also welcome.
This small-group guided walk is professionally led by Abi, a qualified Mountain Leader and Outdoor First Aider / Mental Health First Aider, with full PL insurance. Booking is essential, places are limited and cost £15 per person.
Details of what to bring and where to meet will be emailed or sent in the WhatsApp chat on booking, but please get in touch if you need further details beforehand. We walk in (almost) ALL weather, so please take note of the Kit List that will be sent out on booking.
