Malama Kailua Village

Malama Kailua Kona is a free community event focused on celebrating our beautiful Kailua Village with local musicians, vendors, food and learning about plans for downtown parking issues.

All vendors are local businesses - come shop and meet these entrepreneurs!

The event is presented by the 365 Hawaii Island Community Fund to bring our elected officials together with the community to help Kailua Village.

Elected Officials

11:30- Council woman Rebecca Villegas will discuss solutions for the parking issue in the village.

12:00- Mayor Kimo Alameda will be giving an update on projects he is working on around West Hawaii and he and Dept of Public Works will discuss the idea of making Ali'i Drive one way to help create more free parking. Come lend your thoughts!

Music and vendors will be going til 4 pm. 2 hours of free parking across the street in the Farmers market lot for locals.

Bonus: the Street Eats Food Truck Festival is happening on Ali'i Drive from 12 - 6 pm.
