Mal Eastick, one of Australia’s finest blues-rock guitarists, has a passionate, explosive and soulful style that has been featured with some of Australia’s biggest recording and performing acts for over 30 years.Nationally renowned Adelaide-born lead guitarist Mal Eastick has been playing his own brand of blues rock and country rock on tour through coastal northern NSW for the last four decades.
Now resident in Yamba, Mal loves to gig and play strong melodic guitar. He has toured and/or recorded with Jimmy Barnes, Stars, Broderick Smith, Max Merritt, Hoodoo Gurus and Phil & Tommy Emmanuel, plus overseas greats Buddy Guy, Eric Burdon, Joe Walsh, Lonnie Mack, Little Charlie, Johnny Johnson and Joe Louis Walker.
Andrew Hegedus has a powerful voice, hails from Grafton, and is best known in the Northern Rivers as the singer & rhythm guitarist of “Jabiru”. Andrew has been performing in pubs and clubs for many years. In the 1980’s and early ‘90’s, he was a member of the Grafton band “Little Eagle”.
Mal & Andrew met in the Northern Rivers area in 2017, jammed and clicked straight away, and now on the road they go!
The duo perform some great songs from the ‘60’s, 70’s 80’s and ‘90’s, with strong vocals and stage presence and two smokin’ acoustic guitars to back it up.
Songs featured are from the likes of Tony Joe White, Eric Clapton, Eagles, Creedence, John Fogerty, Neil Young, SRV, Vince Gill, Ray Charles, Paul Simon, Otis Redding, Van Morrison and more. Great vibes!
