Indie-rock four-piece MAKO ROAD returns to the Powerstation. Fresh off their Australian dates they’re back in New Zealand to finish off their Stranger Days Tour shows.
MAKO ROAD kicked off their Stranger Days tour in Auckland last August with two massive sold-out shows at the Powerstation, make sure you don’t miss out on this one.
“For a four-piece band, you don’t miss out on any sound. Their solos are so melodic, short and sweet and not over-complex. And that’s what makes them so memorable and singalongable which is such a stand out aspect of their music.” 13th Floor
The long-awaited debut album Stranger Days (out now) brilliantly captures the band’s epic indie-rock sound and includes earlier singles Helicopter, Surfing on Mars, Don’t Keep Me Waiting, Stranger Days and now Anywhere You'd Like To Go.
It was recorded in the renowned & secluded studio environment of Wellington’s The Surgery and produced by the band’s guitarist/singer Rhian Ward and bassist, Connor Jaine. It was engineered by James Goldsmith (Mermaidens, Beastwars, Into Orbit) and mastered by Chris Chetland (Savage, Snoop Dogg, Lorde, Drax Project, Scribe).
