About this Event
Participants in this class will make up to 3 Swedish stars woven from reed. The stars will be either brown or natural in color and approximately 14" wide. Finished stars can be hung as is or decorated. These stars are light and durable and will last for years if kept indoors. If they are painted, they can be used outdoors.
This class is suitable for families. Children as young as 10 are welcome. Each child aged 10 - 12 needs one adult to assist them. A child-parent team will make up to 3 stars and be counted as 1 participant.
Please bring these materials to class:
1 bath towel (it may get glue on it)
1 12" ruler
1 pair of kitchen or craft scissors
1 rag that will get glue on it
1 pencil
This class needs a minimum of three (3) attendees to run.

Instructor Bio: Barbara has restored chairs with woven seats for several years. The materials used in this class are also used in seat weaving and basket making. Reed is cut from the rattan plant. Participants who enjoy making these stars may want to try seat weaving and can learn more about that craft from Barbara.
Registration closes three (3) days before event.
