Making Spirits Bright: Women in Business Giving Back
’Tis the season for giving and spreading cheer and this year, we are coming together to support a lower mainland family from the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper Society for the holidays.
Join us for an evening of gift wrapping, Christmas card writing (for isolated community members), cookie eating, and, well, let’s be honest, some good old-fashioned socializing on December 11, 2025, from 7-9pm at Sunday Fibre Co!
This event is open to all women in business in the lower mainland, not just women in the Living in Balance space.

How You Can Contribute:
🎁 Wishlist Gifts | Each member of our chosen family will have indicated that there are some things they would like/need. If you would like to provide a larger wishlist item or money towards it, please send an email to [email protected], or connect with the woman who invited you to this event, so that we can share with you what they have requested, and to also make sure that we can cover as much ground as possible, and help this family feel safe, supported, and even a bit spoiled this season!
🛒 Groceries | Our sponsor family has told us what their most convenient grocery store is and we would like to provide them with one main gift card to that store, instead of many smaller ones that they will need to keep track of/check balances on. If you would like to contribute to their "food fund", please send an email to [email protected] and we can coordinate the details, or you can bring cash, or send e-transfers in-person, at the event.
♥️ We would love to provide our family with a nice stock(ing) of the essentials. You know, those pesky hygiene items that feel really inconvenient to need to buy when money is tight, but truly make all the difference when you have them available to you — and, some fun extras. It is Christmas time after all! Ideas to get you started in this department are: body wash/bar soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, general use hair products (hair spray, dry shampoo, a new hairbrush, etc) deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, chapstick, bandaids, advil/tylenol, razors and razor blade refills, etc.
🌟 And of course, cash is always a huge help! Cash contributions will be put towards larger gifts, or missing items off of their list.
