About this Event
Join us in person for an interactive seminar bringing together practitioners and researchers to explore how young people (16–26) experience loss and grief, and to co-design practical ways to support them. It’s also a valuable networking opportunity to connect with others working across youth support, education, health, community organisations, and academia.
The session draws on emerging findings from an ongoing project funded by the British Academy ECR Network. Together we will:
- Reflect on how grief shows up in young people’s everyday lives (beyond bereavement)
- Explore interview insights across a set of loss scenarios
- Co-design ideas for support that are practical, creative, and system-aware for education, youth services, and the wider community
The seminar will include short presentations, guided discussion, and collaborative group activities. There will be structured time to meet and share perspectives with other attendees, and participants will help shape next steps for developing grief education resources.
Whether you work directly with young people, design services, teach, or research youth wellbeing, you’re warmly welcome.
