About this Event
As part of “Making Music Day” in Bromley we’re welcoming visitors to sit for a while, listen and share in our full day of workshops exploring chamber music. We’re inviting keen amateur musicians to enrol separately to explore chamber music and in particular the Trio Op.114 by Brahms. Participating musicians will play in a full day of masterclasses and break-out workshops led by Margaret Archibald clarinet, Julia Desbruslais ’cello and Daniel King Smith piano. All those who enrol will be allocated time to play in groups with one another, play alongside the professionals and study in small break-out groups led by the specialist tutors to focus on wind, string or piano techniques. Players and listeners will enjoy the music-making in different spaces within the building, experiencing the glorious acoustic of the main church nave in several masterclass sessions, and breaking out into other rooms for specialist study sessions.
