About this Event
Mexican tin art, also known as milagritos, is a popular art form passed through generations since the sixteenth century to create religious and ornamental images where a soft metal is worked on both sides to make depth using raised and receding shapes.
In this workshop we will learn about the history and technique of metal tooling. We will design and complete an embossed tin art using tooling metal and tools. Elizabeth will provide some typical Mexican images like hearts, suns and birds, but you can also choose to draw your own symbol.
