Guided by local educator and artist Dannielle Arneson, you will explore and experiment with handcrafted ink made from locally sourced black walnuts. Participants will use the beautiful, natural, brown-toned ink to make fine lines using dip pens, bold washes using brushes, and a variety of other techniques. Locally harvested feathers will serve as inspiration, offering a natural and intricate subject for your drawings. Additional time will be alloted for further experimentation, encouraging participants to fully immerse themselves in the creative process. All supplies will be provided for the workshop with additional ink available for purchase. Dannielle will also spend time explaining how she creates the walnut ink from collected black walnuts.
