Penny Rugs date back to the 1800s and were made from sewing scraps of wool and felt when materials were scarce during the Civil War. Homeschoolers have the opportunity to make a small version of a penny rug at the Boyd House at Towne Park. Space is limited! Pre-registration is required. Younger siblings are welcome to play at the park or school in another portion of the building with guardians.Ages 16 and up • $15 per person
