About this Event
- Have you experienced distress, a mental health issue or do you live with a mental illness?
- Have you supported a friend, loved one, colleague or family member?
- Are you a health professional or service provider?
- Do you play a key role in your community or local services?
You're invited to take part in - a community conversation in your local area about Australia's mental health and suicide prevention system.
The National Mental Health Commission is visiting your community to hear about your experiences in accessing or providing mental health and suicide prevention care. Your insights will inform the development of a National Outcomes-Based Framework to provide timely and reliable insights that enable governments to make decisions with confidence, while improving the levels of transparency and accountability across the mental health and suicide prevention systems.
Refreshments will be provided on the day.
Note: We recognise that conversations about mental health and suicide can raise difficult feelings and emotions. Because of this, a counsellor will be present at the community conversation to provide support where needed.
