MAKING CONNECTIONS MEETINGS

Purpose:

This meeting is intened to help professionals in Bradford South to connect, understand roles, services and organisations available in their area and to encourage working collaboratively.

They bring potential to share skills and best practice, avoid duplication and provide the best provision for the people we are here to serve

They are:

Open access and aimed at frontline staff from all sectors including VCS, Health, Social Care, Children, Youth and Education.

Context:

Last year there was a ‘Big Meet’ event for Bradford District at City Hall and the feedback from the event was that it would be beneficial to hold similar events in localities. Earlier this year this year we held a local big meet in Bradford South at the TFD Centre which was well attended. Gaining attendees views, those present felt regular meetings would be useful, particularly to gain a better understanding about other services and their agenda’s locally which would potentially create better partnership working. Although there was a gap in progressing these meetings they are now moving forward in localities with the support from BMDC, Community Partnerships, Living Well and the VCS Alliance. This event is open to everyone who works in Bradford South.
