Making and Adding Papers to Your Mixed Media Art

In this workshop you will explore making papers using paint, gelli plate, stencils, stamps and household items to create your very own original papers to add into your art. You will then use these papers to create a mixed media, multi layered painting of your own.

Denise will be demonstrating techniques for making your own papers and sharing the best supplies to use for your papers and mixed media art in this workshop. You'll be making papers and adding them into your own piece of mixed media art throughout the class with a wealth of attention from Denise in this small, very creative, workshop.

Denise's workshops will be kept to small groups of five students, to offer the best individual guidance and instruction in a small friendly gathering.  The Creating Papers workshop is the third in a series of monthly workshops being taught by professional artist Denise Cerro at the F1VEart Studio. Each workshop will cover a different painting technique or process. 

This will be an all day workshop from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. For lunch, there are restaurants nearby for a quick meal or you can bring your own. We have a refrigerator but no microwave.
