About this Event
The Canning Libraries MakerSpace is a creative space for crafters, makers and tinkerers with equipment and resources for 3D printing, laser cutting, sewing machines, crafting, electronics and more!
To book a slot with a piece of equipment, you must:
- Be a Canning Libraries member (you can become a member online - it's free!)
- Be 16 years and over
- Have completed the relevant MakerSpace Induction for that equipment.
Please Note: Makerspace is currently under review, and will be opening as a limited offering for Term 4 of 2024; please check Eventbrite for equipment availability and dates.
Equipment inductions are on-hold during the review period; you may register your interest for future inductions by emailing [email protected].
The open makerspace will not be staffed - general library staff are unable to assist with troubleshooting and equipment issues may require machines to be unavailable at short notice. Confidence in machine use and troubleshooting is required if attending this session
Equipment manuals will be available to encourage independent use of the Makerspace.
Additional information
When you book a 3D Printer or laser cutter, you will also have access to a MakerSpace PC or laptop.
All creations must be completed and removed from the work station before the end of your session, and the work station must be left clean and tidy for the next MakerSpace creator.
Important: If you are unable to attend your booked sessions , please cancel your tickets through Eventbrite or contact us at Riverton Library on 9231 0944. Failure to do so may result in your access to the MakerSpace being restricted for future bookings.
