Unfortunately due to the rising number of Covid cases and in the efforts to keep our members, visitors, and staff safe, MAKE: Mode Brut Closing Party has been canceled. We hope to resume in-person events in the near future. The museum galleries and store will remain open for visitors with proof of vaccination for entry.
MAKE is BACK! On the third Thursday of each month, collaborate with artists and makers, explore unique themes, and re-think materials through creative design projects-- after-hours in the galleries.
Kick off the return of MAKE with a Mode Brut closing party! Join MCD and Creativity Explored (CE) for a final look at the exhibition, including an exclusive mini-runway fashion show featuring never before seen looks from the CE Line, Tokyo Gamine, Bonanza, and Ayanna “Yanni” Brumfield.
Explore various garment-altering techniques found within the exhibition, including projects co-authored by CE artists. Visitors will use fabric pens, embroidery, and more to customize wearable exhibition souvenirs. Have a shirt, vest, or pair of shoes at home that need updating?? Bring ‘em down to the event to imbue with new life and design!
