About this Event
Jake's presentation will cover what makes a good story – how to make it pop – and ways to harness creativity to make content stand out. We will also discuss the importance of being personable and vulnerable when building relationships.
Jake is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a graduate of the University of Georgia. A current sports/features reporter for WBRC in Birmingham, Jake has several years of experience in the broadcast industry. He has covered SEC football, college football bowl games, a men's Final Four and has told stories from Joplin, Missouri, to Burlington, Vermont, to the Magic City. Storytelling and photography are two of his biggest passions and when he's not on the clock he can be found traveling the world and reading lots of books.
