About this Event
Watch the magic light up the faces of our babes as they make a wish, stuff and "sew" up their own teddy bear to take home! Free to join as supplies last. Any donations will go to feeding hungry people in LA this November.
The Clear Corner is a blended group of families with diverse backgrounds that meets up weekly. We pride ourselves on being open to all caretakers and parent types. Anyone who cares for littles is welcome to join. Dads, non bio parents, queer parents, grandparents, nannies, other family members who caretake for the baby... we're all in the trenches together!
We meet every Thursday 9-11:30am with special holiday hours/locations

Location Deets:
Be Nice Have Fun is an incredible shop and community space right on the strip of York Blvd in Highland Park. Latina owned and on a mission to not only highlight the best artists in LA but also to incorporate give back to the community with every move they make. The Clear Corner is so lucky to collaborate with Be Nice Have Fun on National Teddy Bear Day!
This location is stroller friendly and has a restroom on site for participants. Although this shop is normally pet friendly, dogs are not welcomed at any Clear Corner event. Thank you for your understanding.
During our meet, we'll get to learn about the events and opportunities at Be Nice Have Fun which operates as a retail space and a community space. Donations are not required for this event but 100% of donations will go towards their outstanding food plate efforts in November.

Parking:
The surrounding neighborhoods have untimed free street parking which is suggested. Closer parking is timed and metered, not suggested but available. Please take note of the street sweeping signs. This area has highly monitored parking by the city.
There is a paid lot on the corner of Meridian and Ave 51.
For wheelchair accessible routes, please use Google Maps App, set the starting point to 'your location' once parked/dropped off and enter "Be Nice Have Fun" for 'choose destination'. Press the three dots at the top and the click 'options'. Toggle the 'wheelchair accessible' tab to "ON". This should help give the most clear passageway to the spot.
**Also Highly Recommended to use Google Maps 'Walk' setting for easy guidance to the spot if mobility isnt an factor. Still super helpful**
What to Bring (everything optional):
-Water and snacks
-Any hand me downs you wish to share
-$ for coffee and treats on York Blvd.
Group Guidelines:
-Respect & consent are #1. We share stories but avoid unsolicted advice or put downs. No hate or discrimination.
-Parents model healthy interactions including helping little ones keep hands, mouths and feet to themselves and speak kindly.
-Parents are hands-on and engaged. Never leaving their baby unattended or attended by another parent without explicit communication.
-Ask permission to share foods between babies or to touch another child even to help.
-No pet dogs.
-No promotions unless approved by group leaders in advance. We would love to collaborate with you and give you time to spotlight your business.
