About this Event
Have you ever wanted to try stained glass? Well, today is your lucky day! Let's celebrate St. Patrick's Day together by learning the foundations of stained glass while creating your own 4 Leaf Clover Lucky Charm! Laura Beth Konopinski will lead this 2.5-hour glass workshop from her studio space in midtown Longmont, Colorado.
You will be guided through choosing your favorite green glass color, cutting out the leaf shapes, grinding the glass edges, foiling & then soldering. The available glass colors are dependent on the studio inventory at the time of class, though we tend to keep quite a variety on hand! You can expect to make 1 clover with 4 leaves. We will assemble the leaves, then add the stem and a hanger. Keep your lucky charm or gift the good luck to a friend :)
This is a beginner class and no experience is required for this activity. This workshop can also be a great refresher course or simply a fun way to make a project! ALL levels are welcome!
All tools and materials are provided throughout the time of this workshop and you'll be able to take your finished project with you!
For this workshop, please wear natural material clothing (such as cotton or linen) and pull back all loose hair since we will be working with some heat. Please bring your beverage in a closed-top container. There is plenty of street parking in this neighborhood and we kindly ask you not to park in the studio driveway. If you need any additional accomodations or space when attending, please send us a message ahead of time so we can make these arrangements with you.
Glass is an exciting medium to work with that lasts a lifetime. Laura Beth looks forward to introducing you to this artform and sharing these skills with you! Please reach out with any questions!
